Gaming servers attract attacks the way nothing else on the internet does. The economics are simple and ugly: a competitor, a banned player, or someone selling attacks by the hour can take a community offline for the cost of a subscription. For the server operator, every minute down is players leaving for somewhere that stays up.

The most popular FiveM server in Egypt runs on Evorxa. In August it was hit with a sustained flood peaking at 340.10 Gbps.

What the players saw

Nothing.

That is the entire story, and it is the only outcome that matters. The server stayed up. Players kept playing. The community did not fragment across three Discord servers arguing about whether the host was any good.

The operator found out about the attack from our side, not from their players.

Why this is the number we publish

Attack figures are easy to inflate and hard to check, so most of the ones you read are marketing. This one is ours: a real peak, against a real customer, on a date we can point to.

It is also the reason mitigation is included on Evorxa rather than sold separately. An attack of this size is not an edge case for a popular gaming server — it is a Tuesday. Charging extra for survival, at the moment a customer discovers they need it, is not a business we want to be in.

What we would tell an operator

If you run something people care enough about to attack, assume it will be. Ask your host what happens at 300 Gbps before you need the answer, and be suspicious of anyone who has never published a number.

The right time to find out whether your infrastructure holds is a scheduled test with your team watching. Not a Friday night, with your community in the chat asking why they cannot connect.
